Our Story
A family business that has thrived and grown
Beaver Creek Industries, Inc. (BCI) was founded in 1999 by Gary Bajus. Gary was a successful carpenter and superintendent in the commercial construction arena in Western NY. Frustrated with long lead times for change order work he started his own shop to keep his projects moving along.
Andy Bajus, left, with Gary Bajus Sr. working together in the early days of the company.
Initially, Gary managed BCI part-time, working evenings and weekends alongside his full-time job. His experience as a superintendent installing millwork on commercial construction sites alongside other trades provided the insights that shaped the company’s foundation. Before long, BCI grew into a full-time operation. The ability to supply and install custom architectural woodwork for a project set a new standard in the market.

In 2005, BCI incorporated, with Mary Bajus and Gary Bajus II joining as partners. Over the years, the company experienced steady, sustainable growth, earning a strong reputation and building a loyal customer base. Gary and Mary have retired, but the business continues to be family owned and operated.

As a young father, Gary had left the construction industry to pursue operating a family farm to be close to his children. Woodworking was an evolution out of farming, with many similar parallels. The entire family has been involved one way or another over the years, instilling a deep-rooted entrepreneurial spirit. That spirit endures today through the bonds shared within both our biological family and our work family.
